To All Members and Friends of the Manhattan Resident Managers Club:

It was with a heavy heart that we reported the untimely passing of our fellow member and good friend, Mr. John Person on May 20, 2015.

John was a former President of the Manhattan Resident Manager’s Club and he served on the Board of Directors of the Manhattan Resident Manager’s Foundation for many years. As you probably are aware, John was passionate about the Foundation’s yearly scholarship program, providing as many scholarships as possible to the club member’s children and grandchildren (as well as supporting underprivileged children) John served both the Club and the Foundation tirelessly over the years and his leadership, friendship and camaraderie will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

This being said, the Officers and Board of Directors of the Foundation have decided that it would be only fitting to rename the Manhattan Resident Manager’s Foundation annual scholarships in his honor.

May He Rest in Peace!

See the attached Application for the Annual Education Scholarship Awards sponsored by the Manhattan Resident Manager's Foundation.  All  Members are welcomed to apply as long as you are current with your dues to the CLUB.

-  November 14, 2016  - PRODUCT RECALL

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Millions of smoke detectors have been recalled over concerns they may not alert people to a fire or carbon monoxide in the home.

The recall involves about 3.6 million Kidde NightHawk talking combo smoke/CO alarms with model number KN-COSM-IB. They were manufactured between June 1, 2004 and Dec. 31, 2010.

The company says the alarms might not chirp when it reaches its seven year end of life if the batteries are replaced — leading people to believe it’s still working.

Kidde has received eight reports involving the recalled alarms, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled alarms were sold at electrical distributors and home centers nationwide and online at from June 2004 through December 2010.

Those who own the recalled models should stop using them immediately and call Kidde at 855-239-0490 for a free replacement alarm or discount on a new alarm depending on the date of manufacture.
